In their last semester, ArT bachelor students are invited to develop their own projects, and encouraged to coordinate with cultural institutions and work with local partners where possible. The focus of the semester is on the concept of experience and its realization and materialization through concrete artefacts or events. Very few guidelines are given, allowing students the opportunity to follow their creativity and synthesize the theories and methods of art and technology covered during the previous semesters. The range of art projects include interactive installations for performance festival, virtual performances that utilise arts-based research methods, collaborations with Kunsten, virtual reality experiences, and the development of new prototypes for social robots. All the projects demonstrate the integration of artistic and academic discourses and methods.
